NBA admits multiple blown calls in wild Knicks-Sixers Game 2

As it turns out, the New York Knicks’ miracle come-from-behind victory over the Sixers in Game 2 never should have happened. The NBA effectively admitted as much Tuesday in its Last Two Minute report.

On the failed inbounds play that led to Donte DiVincenzo’s go-ahead three-pointer, referees missed two fouls—one from Jalen Brunson and one from Josh Hart—that impeded Tyrese Maxey. The L2M report noted that Brunson pulled Maxey’s jersey, “which affects Maxey’s ability to secure the pass,” while “Hart steps forward into Maxey’s space and initiates lower-body contact that causes Maxey to lose his balance and fall to the floor.
