What a difference a week makes. This meter is night and day compared to our first one. With the exception of yesterday’s game, which was a pitcher’s duel the Mets ultimately won, the Mets scored at least five runs in each of the other five games they played this week—even the two games they lost. During this weeklong stretch, the Mets’ team 151 wRC+ is the best in baseball. Who would have thought a week ago that we’d be saying that?
It’s not quite all sunshine and rainbows, however. Francisco Lindor—one of the Mets’ most important hitters—continues to struggle.
