Omaha, Neb. -- Bluejay Men's Soccer sent the seventh largest crowd in program history (5,595) home happy as Creighton bested No. 13 Marquette 2-1 on Friday, September 15.
The victory pushed the Bluejays to 2-3-2 on the season and 1-0-0 in BIG EAST action, while Marquette fell to 6-1-0 overall and 0-1-0 in conference play.
Junior (Raleigh, N.C.) put the Bluejays in front in the 20th minute with his first goal as a Bluejay. Sloan took possession of a failed clear attempt by the Golden Eagles just outside the box and blasted in his first career goal with a shot from 24 yards away at the 19:57 mark.
